Executive Assistant / Office Manager


We are seeking a strongly motivated, enthusiastic Executive Assistant / Office Manager. We’re looking for a professional who is a self-starter, likes wearing multiple hats, and is not scared of rolling up their sleeves.

What you will do:

  • Manage our CEO and CMO’s calendar and travel
  • Help schedule team meetings, preparation for conferences and other business meetings
  • Oversee and support day-to-day operations of our Oakland office
  • Ensure that team members have what they need to do their best work; oversee new hire setup, furniture/supply procurement, IT/equipment maintenance
  • Help process invoices and expense reports and track payments
  • Coordinate review of contracts and help maintain a contracts database
  • Build strong relationships with Modis employees and a variety of stakeholders (vendors, partners, building management)

  • Excellent problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Very skilled at communicating complex ideas clearly and succinctly; you have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A master organizer: you have systems to prioritize and execute your to-do list and the ability to predict near future obstacles before they come to head
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), PowerPoint and other tools
  • You have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion
  • You exercise sound judgment and handle confidential matters with discretion

This role could be a transitional role for a person looking to move into an operational capacity within Modis Therapeutics.
